Chartered Physiotherapist & APPI Pilates Instructor
Helen qualified as a Physiotherapist from the University of Birmingham in 1998. She began her career in the NHS at The Royal Free Hospital, Hampstead then movied to St george’s Hospital in Tooting and later The Royal Hampshire Conty Hospital in Winchester.
Helen’s passion for Pilates began during her role in rehabilitation for neurological conditions and older people where the key to successful rehabilitation was a stronger core achieved through Pilates based exercises. She then got first hand experience of the benefit of clinical Pilates during and after her first pregnancy when she suffered from severe sacro-iliac pain.
Andover Pilates & Physiotherapy was set up in 2012 and since then Helen has completed the following APPI courses to ensure she provides the most up to date Pilates based rehabilitation for her clients:
